Switch Dominates Japan: Occupied All 30 Positions Of The Sales Charts

That Nintendo Switch has been a huge success in Japan since its debut in 2017 is a fact that is not surprising: both hardware and software, in fact, the numbers of the Nintendo hybrid console are always impressive and, at present, do not mention

The success is such that, according to Famitsu, in the last sales ranking, the 30 typical positions of the Japanese chart are occupied exclusively by productions for Switch. This is the fourth time that this has happened in 2021 and, in general, it is a monopoly that has not even occurred since 1995.

The Gematsu portal has also released all the details related to the charts, where emerges the first position of Pokémon Diamond Shining and Pearl Shining with another 116,657 units sold since the launch. To complete the podium we find Mario Party Superstars (60,555 copies sold) and Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain (33,796). Note that the first three classifieds remain the same as the previous chart, where Nintendo Switch has pulverized PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in Japan.

The hardware side remains the same, with the OLED model leading the ranking thanks to 93,406 units sold, followed by 46,372 of the standard version and 37,054 of Switch Lite. PlayStation 5 follows immediately after with much lower numbers, 7790. Given the great success, the Grande N has no exclusive that the Switch servers will be under stress at Christmas, although the problems should relate more to the functionality of creating new accounts, while the Nintendo Switch Online service should work regularly.
