Scorn: Xbox’s Development Update Infuriates Fans

A few weeks after the confirmation of the postponement of Scorn to 2022 through a press release by the publisher, the development team of the exclusive wait Xbox has published an update to all backers on Kickstarter that not everyone appreciated.

The long post, also available for those who have not financed the project on the famous crowdfunding platform, opens by explaining what have been the difficulties encountered in recent times. According to the team’s words, the inexperience led to some important mistakes and a good part of the game was completely reprogrammed from 2018 onwards. It would seem, however, that, net of the accidents, Microsoft and other companies that are supporting the project have not done any kind of pressure and are allowing the software house to work calmly. It also seems that on December 10, 2021 the postponement to 2022 will be officially announced, since the news has never been released directly by the team.

However, users are not to be surprised by the final part of the statement, which some players say is rude and arrogant to them:

“To close the speech, a friendly advice: if the lack of communication bores you, ask for a refund and put a stone on it. It’s just a game. You can always play it on the way out.”

At the moment, developers have not responded to the controversy, but many comments to the Kickstarter post have been annoyed by these words.

Did you know that Scorn will be an exclusive Xbox Series X timeline and will spin at 4K/60fps?
