Roblox Sues A Youtuber For Terrorist Threats And Harassment Of Other Players

Roblox Corporation sued Benjamin Robert Simon a.k.a. Ruben Sim, a player and a youtuber who would be the leader of a cybermob: in recent years, according to the company’s accusations, he would have harassed other users of Roblox and carried out terrorist threats.

In the documents filed on Tuesday, November 23, it is stated that Simon would encourage “illicit acts directed at the harm of other users of Roblox.” It seems that last October he posted terrorist threats that led to the closure of the Roblox Developers Conference in San Francisco: in his message, he invited the employees not to go to work the following day, suggesting the presence of a The demonstration was temporarily closed to allow the authorities to find the threat, which ultimately proved non-existent. The first ban by Roblox Simon earned it by harassing other users with the use of homophobic and racist insults, sexual harassment and photographs portraying Hitler. Following all these damage caused over the years, Roblox Corporation claims $1.6 million in compensation.
