Riot Games Will Pay $100 Million For A Gender Discrimination Suit

Riot Games announced payment of $100 million after reaching a special agreement with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (D)

Specifically, the game company like League of Legends and Valorant will pay 80 million to the two California departments and the parties involved, as well as 20 million taxes and legal fees, for a total of 100 million.

The lawsuit was launched in 2018 and Riot Games has already compensated the victims with ten million dollars but the litigation is now definitively closed with this new payment, moreover the company will make available another six million dollars to make sure that independent agencies properly control

The goal is to “give life to an even better and more inclusive Riot Games towards our employees, regardless of their gender or recognition.”
