Remedy, Control And Alan Wake Arrive In Sweden: New Team For The Studio

With Remedy engaged in a wide range of projects, including the still mysterious Project Condor, Vanguard and the Control sequel, the software house has decided to extend its boundaries.

Through an official statement, the authors of Control and Alan Wake have confirmed that they intend to open a new subsidiary in Sweden, ready to become operational already in the course of the next year. A decision born after joining the practices of smart working during the months of lockdown related to the actions of contrast to the pandemic of Covid-19.

During the last year and a half, in particular, Remedy has welcomed several senior developers resident in Sweden among its ranks. The latter have always worked in remote mode, finally going to constitute an interesting creative core. Satisfied with this development, Remedy has now decided to structure Swedish employees into a real development team, which will become operational in 2022.

After a pilot project supervised by Johnny Mang, who is responsible for Vanguard’s development, Remedy is ready to launch the new studio in Stockholm. 25 new professionals will join the Swedish team. The Finnish software house has not offered details about what the Swedish subsidiary will do, but given Mang’s involvement, it is realistic to assume that in Stockholm it will work on Vanguard’s development.
