During the Nintendo Indie World Showcase of December 15, 2021, among the various independent productions show during the streaming there was also space for Omori, title developed by Omocat and described as a surreal psychological horror with mechanics
This is not an unreleased project: Omori was financed through Kickstarter in 2014 and its debut was originally planned on Nintendo 3DS. The continued processing forced the authors to turn their plans upside down, first bringing the game on PC via Steam, then proceeding with the realization of a version for Nintendo Switch. Now, after years of waiting, there is a launch window: the work will debut on the hybrid console of the Grande N by spring 2022, although for the moment no precise date of release has been specified.
“Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and enemies as you discover a forgotten past that will determine your destiny,” says the description of Omori made by Nintendo of America’s Twitter profile. It is certainly a particular product, judging also by the evocative graphic style adopted by the developers. During the same showcase, however, there were other noteworthy ads, such as the new trailer of River City Girls 2, whose release is expected for the summer of 2022.
