As easily imaginable, the first two positions were claimed by the new blockbusters of Activision and Electronic Arts. The most popular game ever was Call of Duty Vanguard, which at the debut became the second most successful title of 2022, behind its direct predecessor Black Ops Cold War. With a total of 1.13 million consoles placed – 550 thousand of which in Thanksgiving week alone – Nintendo Switch was the most sold console in November. This is lower than the result achieved in the same month of 2020, but it has also allowed it to strengthen its domain, since it appears to be the most sold console of the whole 2021 so far.
