Pending the implementation of the New World server merge process, Amazon Game Studios developers continue their post-launch support activities for the new MMO.
In particular, following the discovery of new exploits among the islands of Aeternum, the authors intervened to stem the phenomenon of the cheat. Adventurers who have used New World bugs in an illegitimate way to duplicate resources and in-game money have been severely punished by the team. Overall, Amazon Game Studios say, over 1,200 players have received a permanent ban and will no longer be able to join the MMO community. At the same time, the objects generated by the cheater have been removed from the game world, for a portion that developers indicate as corresponding to about 80% of all duplicated goods in New World through fraud procedures.
In announcing the finish line, Amazon Game Studios have also made available a new update to New World. The update, already available, has restored all commercial activities, from which only decorative objects for homes remain excluded for the time being. The patch also fixes a bug responsible for blocking some players, which can now return to adventure freely within the boundaries of Aeternum.
