NEO developers: The World Ends With You have come back to talk about the game and in particular about the future of the series due to the poor economic results achieved since the last episode of the particular JRPG.
In a new interview with PC Invasion, producer Tomohiko Hirano and director Tatsuya Kando spoke about the future video game of The World Ends With You after the not brilliant results of the last Hirano said: “To be honest, we currently have no plans for a next episode” followed by Kando’s comment: “I have given everything I can at the moment.”
Although there are no projects in view, Hirano expressed the desire to further deepen the events related to Shibuya in a next chapter of the saga: “There are still many areas of Shibuya that we have not been able to reproduce in the two previous titles Continue to share your passion for the game, perhaps at that point our company will allow us to make a sequel.” Kando continued: “NEO was a game I filled with fourteen years of thoughts and emotions and I feel I’ve given the most. I’ll continue to follow fan feedback to see how they perceived the game and from this think what could be the best path to follow.”
