Bandai Namco announced that Jump Force sales would be suspended and servers closed in 2022. Launched in 2019, the game has never achieved great commercial success and from next year it will no longer be available for purchase.
From February 7th, the publisher will suspend the sale of the game, digital content and premium currency on all digital platforms and stores, and from February 24th, the servers will close permanently. From February, it will no longer be possible to buy Jump Force, Jump Force Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch, the 14 Character Pack and the two Character Passes for sale on digital stores.
On August 24th, all online services and features will be closed, including Lobby, events, clans, and rankings, as well as the in-game store, from this date you can play Jump Force only offline. The reasons for this choice are unclear, the decision is probably linked to the difficulties in renewing licences for all or some of the characters of the roster, but it is only a hypothesis and it is not excluded that Bandai Namco may have decided to close the service because the The interruption of sales would, however, make us think more about the first case.
