That Grand Thet Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition did not reach the market in a state that lived up to expectations, was also admitted by Rockstar Games itself. While developers continue to work on corrective patches, modders have already pulled out the first mods.
The first GTA mods: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, available for PC only and exclusively, aim to improve the textures of the three cities, the effectiveness and the rain yield. QTmod, specifically, has published a Visual & Texture Overhaul Pack that improves the performance of roads and floors, the resolution of shadows, lighting and other effects in San Andreas Definitive Edition (download here). Instanity666, however, with the mod Better Rad Texture improved the textures of Grand Theft Auto 3 (here) and GTA Vice City (here). To this modder we also owe the mod Better Rain (here), which improves the performance of the effects of rain in all three games.
Meanwhile, PC players continue to wait for the publication of an official update. The first GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition patch came only on consoles, where it solved a lot of problems and bugs. On the other hand, Rockstar Store users will be the only ones to receive the three classic GTAs for free when they are released again in the digital store.
