With the announcement of the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Square Enix confirmed its intention to bring the iconic JRPG into the Epic Games Store catalogue.
With the confirmation of December 16, 2021 as the date of the porting, the Japanese giant opened a website to celebrate the novelty. On the latter, a countdown had been started simultaneously, aimed at marking the path of approach to this new debut of the adventure of Cloud and companions. At the end of Day One, the countdown has also come to an end: however, at the time we write Final Fantasy VII Remake is not yet available on Epic Games Store.
The game page contains the general indication “soon available,” while neither Square Enix nor Epic Games have received further clarification on this. The situation is rather uncertain, but among the possible explanations there is the simple hypothesis that the time of unblocking the content is set for the late afternoon. It is not uncommon, in fact, that new video games become accessible in time slots between 17:00 and 19:00, just think of the recent debut of Halo: Infinite. In this case, Square Enix’s countdown could have symbolically reset at midnight today, indicating the day of launch of the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
Striking by some controversy related to the choice of the price of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on PC, Square Enix has not yet pronounced itself on this matter: there is therefore nothing left to do but wait for official updates.
