Does Battlefield 2042 Work Badly On Pc? Reported Crashes, Performance Drops And More

Despite the official launch scheduled for November 19, Battlefield 2042 – like all other Electronic Arts games – has already been granted in Advanced Access to all players subscribed to EA Play and Xbox Game Pess Ultimate. The news we’re getting isn’t entirely positive, anyway.

Not only on Xbox Series X, where Battlefield 2042 often crashes, the game is also giving several problems on PC, at least according to reports available on the Steam community, social networks and around the network. In addition to complaints about some missing functions (no voice chat and score table), there are also frequent crash episodes and unstable performances, including high-end video cards such as NVIDIA RTX 3080 and 3090. In addition to all this there would also be numerous bugs, as highlighted by the Washington Post reviewer, according to which Battlefield 2042 deserved further postponement.

We must make a couple of considerations. First, the complaints of the players on PC should always be taken with the benefit of the doubt, since there are a very high number of configurations around and the causes of certain problems may also be independent of the game itself. In addition, DICE has promised to be actively involved in solving critical issues, many of which should become a distant memory already at the launch with the day-one patch. In other words, let’s see: the game is still in early access, more precise considerations we will make it from November 19th onwards.
